Specially formulated sand additives offer improvements for green sand moulding, chemically bonded moulding, cold box, warm box and alkaline phenolic core processes. As well as reducing casting defects such as veining and fractures, sand additives also improve sand flowability, improve core definition and compaction, reduce rework and scrap costs and improve mould strength.
AF#2M & AF#2MG
Powdered sand additives specifically developed to eliminate expansion defects like veining caused by silica sand in a wide range of castings such as turbochargers, manifolds, axle housings and pumps when using PUCB binders.
AF6 & AF7
Specially developed inorganic anti veining additives that can be used in most binder processes, including resin coated sand. With little effect on core strengths, very little gas is evolved during the casting process and offers improved dimensional stability of the core. Ideal for gas sensitive parts such as water jacket cores and reducing potential dimensional issues in brake disc cores.
SC#2 – Green Sand Conditioner
A formulated sand additive which, when added in small controlled levels, improves both the quality and performance of green sand moulding systems.
