    Changes in our leadership team bring new opportunities

    In my role as Foundry Sales Director here at John Winter, I’ve had the privilege to not just deal with our clients in supporting their ongoing foundry needs, but to develop true relationships over the years that have meant we can act as a partner, not just a supplier, to help anticipate your needs and deliver an exceptional service.

    With this in mind, I’m incredibly proud to share that I am now taking on a new challenge within John Winter – the role of Managing Director – where I hope to be even more involved in driving relationships, collaboration and joint success.
    Dale Lister, who you may be familiar with as our Managing Director, is moving into a role as Export Director. In this space, he will lend his considerable expertise to supporting growth in the export arm of our business, meaning we will continue to benefit from his 32 years of knowledge and experience.

    For me personally, after 20 years with the business, I hope that I can bring the same level of expertise, wisdom and innovation that I know Dale is renowned for. And rest assured, the relationships that my colleagues and I have built with you over the years will only strengthen and grow as we look to the future.

    For now though, I’m excited that the first bit of news I’m able share with you is focused on the growth of our organisation through investing in our talent, though sadly this also comes with a couple of goodbyes.

    Brendan Foster, Dental Sales Director, and Chris Gledhill, Financial Director, have both decided to make the leap to retirement, having racked up over 40 years of services between them. We will miss you, but wish you a very happy retirement!

    In light of the changes we are making within our leadership team, we have also reviewed the opportunities this is creating to bring in new expertise, thinking and ways of working. Recognising our existing talent, Sam Ellis will take on the role of Operations Director, stepping up from Operations Manager and utilising her 10 years’ experience to help us continue to deliver for our customers.

    We’re also pleased to welcome some new joiners to our team. Grant Turnbull, a dental industry expert with nearly 30 years’ experience, joins us as Dental Sales Manager and Ted Leather joins as our new Financial Controller. Finally, in two newly-created roles to help drive our growth and expansion, Sam Holden joins as Marketing Manager and Paul Workman as IT Manager.

    It’s an exciting time for John Winter and I am confident that our new structures and the people we’re welcoming to our team will only serve to strengthen the experience, knowledge and innovation that we know you rely on from our teams.

    Our industries are evolving; we know that we need to be more efficient, more digitally-focused and more responsive than ever to changing customer needs so that in turn, you can deliver for your own clients. I believe we’re investing in the right people talent to help us do so and I’m looking forward to working better together with you as a result.
